<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly grind the whole surface to be ground of a steel billet when 45°-grinding is performed in a swing type steel billet grinding device. <P>SOLUTION: When grinding is performed for a plane Ss of a slab S, a grinding wheel 16 is positioned at a grinding wheel oblique angle 45° by an oblique angle control means 124. At the time, when the grinding wheel 16 is made to abut on the plane Ss by an abutting position control means 126, there are possibilities that inclination is generated in an abutting surface angle of an outer peripheral surface of the grinding wheel 16 to the plane Ss, depending on a position where the grinding wheel 16 is in contact with the plane Ss or the inclination is different, depending on the position where the grinding wheel 16 is in contact with the plane Ss. An oscillation angle of the grinding wheel 16 around a third axial center C3 is corrected by an oscillation angle correction means 128 so that a rotation axial center Cg of the grinding wheel 16 may be parallel to the plane Ss based on slab thickness T and a grinding wheel diameter D, and thereby inclination is hardly generated in the abutting surface angle of the outer peripheral surface of the grinding wheel 16 to the plane Ss and abutting of the grinding wheel 16 and the slab S is easily kept constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
