<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manage metadata of a derived file. <P>SOLUTION: In the computer system of the present invention comprising a metadata management server and a history management server for managing a history, each of the above servers is connected to a client computer storing the file, and the metadata management server detects an event where metadata of the file stored on the client computer is changed, requests the history management server to search for a history regarding the detected event, extracts a second file that is a derivation destination from the first file whose metadata is changed and a third file that is a derivation source where the first file was derived, identifies the file whose metadata is to be changed among the extracted second and third files, and generates a metadata update request to update metadata of the identified file. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
