<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which a frame can be narrower by holding a liquid crystal panel securely even if a common difference in the size of the liquid crystal panel to be manufactured is included. <P>SOLUTION: In an image display device 10, a fixed structure 13 includes a plurality of members supporting the fixing of a liquid crystal panel 11. The fixed structure 13 includes: a deformation preventing member 21 having a facing part 22; and a contact part 24. The facing part 22 faces to at least a part of an outer edge part of the liquid crystal panel 11 from another surface 19 side. The contact part 24 contacts to the outer edge part from outward in a plane direction of the liquid crystal panel 11. A frame part 16 faces to the outer edge part of the liquid crystal panel 11 from one surface 18 side and holds the outer edge part with the fixed structure 13.
