The present invention discloses a method and device for controlling parameter configuration, and relates to the field of communications, which are used for ensuring the security of a system. The method for controlling parameter configuration includes the following steps: receiving the configuration commands for the limited interfaces of a network element apparatus sent by a client; determining whether there is an internal permission file corresponding to the network element apparatus on the operation and maintenance unit of the network element apparatus; if the result of the determination is YES, executing the configuration commands. The method and device for controlling parameter configuration provided by the embodiments of the present invention are applied for the configuration service of the network element apparatus.
