<p>A pilot operated solenoid valve (500) is provided with a solenoid (502) including a plunger (571) and a stationary core (572) which are arranged so as to be movable relative to each other in the axial direction, and the solenoid (502) generates an electromagnetic attraction force for moving integrally the plunger (571) and a pilot valve (506). The solenoid valve (500) is also provided with a stroke increasing mechanism including a spring (556) for applying an elastic force, which acts in the opposite direction to the electromagnetic attraction force, to the pilot valve (506) to stop the pilot valve (506) at an equilibrium position, the spring (556) being deformable to an extent exceeding the amount of movement of the plunger (571) caused by the electromagnetic attraction force of the solenoid (502). The stroke increasing mechanism increases the stroke of the main valve (505) by causing the stop position of the main valve (505) to be dependent on the amount of elastic deformation of the spring (556).</p> |
