<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a required power budget by regulating a link speed between nodes to be low, thus providing power saving corresponding to an increment at least obtained thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication system includes: a speed change part 28 capable of changing a communication speed between nodes 1, 2; a speed adjustment part 27 for adjusting a link speed between the nodes 1, 2 to the communication speed; and a power adjustment part 20 for reducing transmission power to the node 2 which is the other party and a receiver according to the relative lowness of the adjusted link speed in a range of the adjustment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
