<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid container in which the containers can be contained into each other in a high density without degrading the electrical connection between the contacts of a device side terminal and a circuit board; a container holder; and a liquid consumption device. <P>SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 100 having a generally rectangular flat parallelepiped shape is so disposed that the two side surfaces 15, 16 crossing the short sides of its end surface 11 in the inserting direction are positioned on the upper and lower sides.
