<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system, with a dual core microcomputer enabling a mode to be switched between a performance mode (a parallel operation) and a safety mode (a duplex comparison operation), capable of improving CPU processing efficiency in the performance mode by reducing a waiting time of CPU when the mode is switched from the performance mode to the safety mode. <P>SOLUTION: A computer system comprises: at least two CPUs, CPUA 2 and CPUB 6; a programmable interruption controller 11 to interrupt the CPUA 2 and the CPUB 6; and a comparator 14 to compare outputs between the CPUA 2 and the CPUB 6. The system is switchable between a performance mode in which each CPU executes a different process respectively to improve performance and a safety mode in which the CPUs execute a same process to detect a failure by comparing execution results using the comparator. The system is also configured to allow each interruption factor to interrupt one or a plurality of CPUs and to be selectively executed either in a performance mode or a safety mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
