PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that still measures an elapsed time, even after a power supply from the outside is cut off, with no increase in cost and space.
SOLUTION: The determination as to whether the power supply from the outside has been cut off is made by writing data having a predetermined value to a nonvolatile memory, and storing, in the nonvolatile memory, a table in which a variation rate of the data written in the nonvolatile memory is corresponded with an elapsed time from the writing. After it is determined that the power supply from the outside has been cut off, an elapsed time is figured out by calculating a variation rate of data using the data read from the nonvolatile memory, and referring to the table. When it is determined that the power supply from the outside has been resumed after the determination that the power supply from the outside had been cut off, a control for a recovery operation is carried out according to the obtained elapsed time.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
