<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive device for cutting intermediate beam end faces. <P>SOLUTION: Cut surfaces of chip saws 6L and 6R are made coincident with non-cut surfaces 8L and 8R as viewed from the feed direction F of an intermediate beam 2, and in this state, the intermediate beam 2 is fed by an intermediate beam feeder in a direction F parallel to the axis S. This configuration allows each end plate mounting part 3L and 3R of the intermediate beam 2 to be cut simultaneously at required non-cut surfaces 8L and 8R without sending each heavy spindle 5L and 5R for cutting, thus enabling the construction of compact and inexpensive spindle units 4L and 4R, and an intermediate end face cutting device 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
