<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine increasing player's interest in a game by utilizing the fact that a plurality of start ports and symbol display devices are provided even in the state not to be an open extension state. <P>SOLUTION: In a state in which the open time of a second start port is not extended, the number of times of the symbol variations of a second symbol display device corresponding to the second start port (the number of times of second variations) is counted, and when the number of times of second variations reaches a predetermined number of times, a privilege corresponding to game situations until then is imparted to a player. In such a manner, even when it is difficult to variably display symbols at the second symbol display device since the open time of the second start port is not extended, the player feels joy every time the symbols are variably displayed at the second symbol display device.
