<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an aperture synthesis technique for accurately detecting a detection target. <P>SOLUTION: A radar apparatus comprises a signal synthesizing unit, a correction data acquisition unit, a correction unit, and an estimation unit. The signal synthesizing unit generates a synthesized baseband signal vector by applying an aperture synthesis to individual baseband signals generated from respective echo signals received by a plurality of reception antennas using, as reference, an individual baseband signal obtained from a combination of transmission antennae and reception antennae, the combination providing an equal spatial phase. The correction data acquisition unit acquires correction data by using the coefficients of individual terms of synthesis array polynomial equations obtained from the products of array polynomial equations of a plurality of transmission antennas and array polynomial equations of a plurality of reception antennas. The correction unit corrects the synthesized baseband signal vector using the correction data. The estimation unit estimates an angle using the synthesized baseband signal vector corrected by the correcting unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
