<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel and a display device using the same capable of reducing influences of parasitic capacitance and wiring resistance of detecting wires thereby enhancing the response and achieving stable touch coordinates. <P>SOLUTION: In a touch screen 1, switch circuits 21a and 21b are controlled to select at different timing two detecting wires opposing each other at a dividing portion, e.g. a first left line detection wire WyL(1) and a first right line detection wire WyR(1) in line detecting wires 7a and 7b in divided right/left detection areas DL and DR. Also, a switch circuit 20a and a switch circuit X(R)20b are controlled to select at different timing two detecting wires neighboring each other along a longitudinal direction of a dividing portion e.g. a fourth row detection wire WxL(4) and a first row detection wire WxR(1) in row detection wires 6a and 6b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
