A concentrate derived from a milk product enriched in naturally occurring sialyl-lactose and a process for preparation thereof

Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a concentrate derived from a milk product enriched in the naturally occurring sialyllactose in the milk product comprising ultrafiltration of a milk product containing sialyllactose followed by diafiltration and optionally reverse osmosis and or/drying. The membrane has a molecular weight cut off (MWCO) value which is about 0.5 - 4 k Dalton. Also claimed is a concentrate obtained from the process.
