<p>Provided are antibodies directed against a novel epitope on the human C3c (complement factor 3 c) and the use and manufacture thereof. Moreover, there is provided a novel immunogen for use in the preparation of the antibodies. The antibodies are in the first place of the monoclonal type.</p>
