The joint ball (1) or cap implant has recesses (2) embedded in a surface of a ball joint (1) and connected with one another by connecting channels (3), where the joint ball is designed in a dome-shape. The connecting channels form wave-like lines (4) in a circumferential direction, where one of the lines lying proximate to a base edge (6) is connected with a plane of the base edge over stitching channels (5). Opening width of the recesses lies in the range of 1.6 to 3.4 mm. Width of the connection channels is in the range of 0.3 to 0.5 mm.
