PURPOSE: An adaptive feedback and adaptive transmission mode determining method and apparatus thereof are provided to supply adaptive channel information feedback without increasing feedback overhead. CONSTITUTION: A reception module receives a downlink signal from a base station. A transmission module transmits the upward link signal to the base station. A processor(210) controls a terminal including the reception module and the transmission module. The processor quantizes channel information about a virtual multi antenna channel through the selected codebook.
