<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low pressure EGR valve unit that maintains an assembling performance of an intake throttle valve element, even if a valve housing is subject to the restriction of on-board installation. <P>SOLUTION: A valve housing 4 is formed to be divided into an EGR side housing 15 and an intake side housing 16, and a joining surface M of them is provided between a low pressure EGR shaft 11 and an intake throttling shaft 13. Thereby, even when a low pressure EGR flow passage 2 and intake passage 3 in the valve housing 4 are extended or bent under the restriction of on-board installation, if it is in "the condition of only the intake side housing 16", a tool or the like easily reaches places between an opening being the low pressure EGR passage 2 and the intake throttling shaft 13, and a visual contact becomes also easy, so that an operation to fasten an intake throttle valve element 14 to the intake throttling shaft 13 by using a screw 34 is easily performed.
