<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPS liquid crystal display device using COA system which suppresses a DC residual image and prevents a screen from color-shifting to yellow. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel of a TFT substrate 100 holds a TFT, a color filter 107R, a 107G, a 107B, a counter electrode 108, and an insulator film 109, and a pixel electrode 110 is formed across them. A liquid crystal layer 300 is held between the TFT substrate 100 and a counter substrate 200. An alignment layer 113 is formed on a surface where the TFT substrate 100 and the counter substrate 200 contact with the liquid crystal layer 300. A material showing high photoconductive characteristic is used for the alignment layer 113 so as to suppress a DC residual image. On the other hand, changing the thickness of color filters for each color prevents a screen from color-shifting to yellow which is caused by the alignment layer strongly absorbing light of a short wavelength 113. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
