PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high reliability of an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device.

SOLUTION: An electro-optic device comprises: a pixel electrode (9a); a transistor (30) corresponding to the pixel electrode; a data line (6a) electrically connected to the transistor; a storage capacitance (70) which is positioned between the pixel electrode and the transistor and is formed by placing a first electrode (72) and a second electrode (71) opposite each other with a capacitance insulator film (75) in between; and an additional capacitance (400) which is electrically connected to a data line and is formed by placing a first additional capacitance electrode (401) provided in a same layer as the first electrode on one side and a second additional capacitance electrode (402) provided in a different layer from the first electrode and the second electrode on the other side opposite each other with an additional capacitance insulator film (42) in between.
