<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high power-supply efficiency during both operation time (heavy load time) and standby time (low load time). <P>SOLUTION: In a MFP 1, when it is under an operating state, both a heavy load-supporting converter 20 and a energy-saving converter 19 are in the ON state thereby electric power is supplied to an engine section including a main controller 4, a FAX controller 21 and an engine controller 3. In this time, electric power shortage of a RAM 15 which requires continuous electric power, is supplemented by a heavy load-supporting converter 20. Upon shifting to an energy-saving state, an energy-saving controller 13 turns the heavy load-supporting converter 20 to the OFF state, thereby stops electric power supply from the heavy load-supporting converter 20, and thus electric power is supplied only to the energy-saving controller 13 and the RAM 15 in the main controller 4, and a communication controller 22 and an I/F section 23 in the FAX controller 21 by the energy-saving converter 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
