<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten heating time until heat storage is resumed. <P>SOLUTION: A chemical heat storage material of a reactor 15 stores heat with dehydration reaction by receiving heat supplied from an engine exhaust gas. Steam generated with the dehydration reaction is condensed by an evaporation/condensation section 30. When discharging heat stored in the chemical heat storage material, by evaporating water through heat exchange with a cooling medium in the evaporation/condensation section 30, steam for hydration reaction is supplied to a reactor 16. The chemical heat storage material is hydrated, and heat stored in the chemical heat storage material is discharged. T the start of heat storage using the reactor 16, a chemical heat storage system 10 for vehicle controls to supply from the evaporator/condenser 30 to the reactor 16 steam higher than reaction equilibrium pressure of water vapor discharged by heat storage through a heat storage ECU.
