<p>A power harvesting device and method thereof are provided, wherein the power harvesting device is configured to harvest power from at least one falling object and transfer the harvested power. The power harvesting device includes a wheel configured to rotate when the at least one falling object contacts the wheel, wherein the wheel includes an axle, and at least one paddle surface extends radially from the axle. The power harvesting device further includes a linkage device operably connected to the wheel and configured to transfer the harvested power, and the linkage device is further configured to convert mechanical power from the wheel rotating to electrical power and an electrical load electrically connected to the linkage device.</p> |
