PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a composite cathode active material capable of easily obtaining a composite cathode active material uniformly coating a surface of a cathode active material with a solid electrolyte material of water soluble oxide.

SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a composite cathode active material includes a cathode active material and a coating layer made of a solid electrolyte material of water soluble oxide and comprises the steps of preparing a mixed aqueous solution including the cathode active material and the solid electrolyte material of water soluble oxide and coating the surface of the cathode active material with the coating layer by heating the mixed aqueous solution under pressure.
