<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately prevent a communication error in a network. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: an environment determination unit 42a for determining whether an environment is suitable or not for executing a protocol causing a communication block in a network NW by the network NW changing a link speed with a switch 2; a power saving determination unit 42b for determining whether a predetermined power saving transition condition is satisfied or not; and a link speed control unit 42c for maintaining a link speed if it has been determined that the power saving transition condition is satisfied and if it has been determined that the environment is suitable for executing the protocol causing a communication block by a link speed change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
