<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video display apparatus and a stereoscopic video display system which allow users to view normal images even when the battery of a shutter type 3D spectacles is depleted, causing the shutter to fail opening/shutting operations. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic video display apparatus of the present invention comprises: a timing generating section 7 generating timing to alternately represent left-eye images and right-eye images on a display 13, and generating shutter control signals controlling an individual opening/shutting operation for a left shutter and a right shutter of a shutter type 3D spectacles 11 synchronously with the representation of the images, a transmission section 8 transmitting the shutter control signals to the shutter type 3D spectacles 11, a reception section 9 receiving response signals from the shutter type 3D spectacles 11, and a control section 10 for controlling to represent only either left-eye images or right-eye images sequentially on the display 13 if the response signal configurations from the shutter type 3D spectacles 11 at the reception section 9 are prescribed ones. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
