<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxial stern catamaran ship with improved propulsive efficiency and transportation efficiency by appropriately designing the shape of a stern. <P>SOLUTION: The biaxial stern catamaran ship includes a skeg 12 provided to a stern and a pod propulsion unit 220 generating propulsive force by driving a propeller 2201. A water flow is formed in a passage 72 by rotating and driving an impeller 73 by a motor 74 so as to suck water in a boundary layer through a boundary layer suction port 70 which is provided on the outer surface of a tunnel-like recessed part 14 having a slope formed by the skeg 12 and the ship bottom 20, at a position near an end in the bow side, and to discharge the sucked water from a discharge port 71. This prevents the boundary layer in the tunnel-like recessed part 14 from peeling, and suppresses an increase in hull resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
