<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document feeder capable of reducing noise due to the contact of a document and a guide member caused after the entrance of the document to a curved conveying passage until an edge thereof passes through, and to provide an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The ADF (automatic document feeder), which conveys a document separately fed from a document bundle on a document tray one by one aiming at a reading position while changing the conveying direction of the document about 180° through a curved conveying passage 53a, includes: the curved guide member 120 that forms a curved conveying passage 53a; a reading inlet sensor that detects the tip and rear ends of the document entering the curved conveying passage 53a; a conveying auxiliary device 130 that has a following movement roller 131 movable between an exposing position to expose on the curved conveying passage 53a and a retreating position to retreat from the curved conveying passage 53a, and a moving mechanism 132 that moves the following movement roller 131; a controller that controls the conveying auxiliary device 130 to move the following movement roller 131 between the exposing position and the retreating position according to the detection result of the reading inlet sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
