<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel where cracking in a dielectric layer of a front plate is effectively prevented or suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma display panel includes: a front plate where an electrode A, a dielectric layer A, and a protective layer are formed on a substrate A; and a back plate where an electrode B, a dielectric layer B, partition walls, and a phosphor layer are formed on a substrate B, the front plate and the back plate being arranged to oppose each other, wherein the dielectric layer A of the front plate includes a glass material containing a siloxane skeleton (or a siloxane bond) and each partition wall has a two-layer structure comprised of a lower layer part and an upper layer part, the lower layer part being provided on the dielectric layer B and the upper layer part being provided on the lower layer part. In the plasma display panel, hardness of the upper layer part of the partition wall is set to be equal to or lower than that of the dielectric layer A of the front plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
