<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator machine for underground pipe reconstruction that does not necessitate expensive materials and can shred the concrete and reinforcement-bars of the existing underground pipes with minimal consumption power in an effective, which allows a low cost underground pipe reconstruction work. <P>SOLUTION: The excavator machine for underground pipe reconstruction 1 comprises a semi shield 6 that is pressed against the working face side by a semi shield jack 7; a hollow cylinder shaped outer shell 2 whose propulsion direction is controlled through a direction control jack 5 placed on the front tip portion of the semi shield and whose inner diameter is bigger than the external diameter of an existing underground pipe 31; a fixed cutter 13 having a front part wedge-shaped blade part 13a and a rear part flat plate-like breaking blade part 13b and fixed in a radial way within the outer shell; and a rotary cutter 14 that is placed within the outer shell of the rear part of the fixed cutter. The wedging process of the front part wedge-shaped blade part with given pressing force allows the breaking of concrete of the existing underground pipes, the compaction digging of the natural ground of the external side of the existing underground pipes and the breakage of the spiral line. The axis line of the existing underground pipes can be broken through a shear force of the rear part flat-plate like breaking blade and the rotary cutter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
