<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor in which a percentage occupied by a base board can be reduced and an yield can be enhanced while securing a space for arranging the other component on a brush holder. <P>SOLUTION: An armature shaft 14 is supported rotatably between a motor case 11 and a gear case 21, a brush holder 30 is fixed to the gear case 21, a commutator 19 and a sensor magnet 41 are fixed, respectively, to predetermined positions of an armature shaft 14, a brush 35 contained retractibly in the brush holder 30 is provided to come into pressure-contact with the commutator 19 freely, a base board 40 is fixed at a position of the brush holder 30 opposing the sensor magnet 41, and a sensor 42 for detecting a variation in the magnetic field of the sensor magnet 41 is fixed to the base board 40.
