<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control method of portable equipment capable of coping with a case, where the voltage of a backup power supply becomes voltage, or smaller required for backup, and to provide a power control circuit for the portable equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In the power control method of the portable equipment, voltage to each circuit in the portable equipment from a main power supply is turned On/OFF, based on the order of On/OFF, delay information, and clock information, and a clock function is held by a backup power supply.
