BATTERY, ELECTRODE FOR BATTERY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with improved binding forces between active material particles and between the active material particle and a collector.

SOLUTION: The battery comprises an electrode 30 with a structure in which an active material layer 20 containing active material particles 22 and binder is supported on a collector 10. The active material layer 20 includes a binder aggregate 24 in which particles of the binder are aggregated. The ratio of the desirable size of the binder aggregate 24 contained in the active material layer 20 to the average size of the active material particle 22 is in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 and the number proportion of the binder aggregates 24 with the desirable size to the total number of the binder aggregates 24 contained in the active material layer 20 is 70% or greater.
