<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which has superior antireflection characteristics irrespective of a material of the optical element and which is superior in wear resistance and durability, and also to provide a method in which the optical element is simply manufactured with a few processes. <P>SOLUTION: Anodized porous alumina having a two-dimensional periodic pore structure is made to have a transfer type, the pore structure is transferred onto the surface of a base material 10, a two-dimensional periodic structural body 12 comprising a plurality of fine cylindrical convex parts 12a having a reverse pattern of the pore structure is provided on the surface of the base material 10, and the period of the cylindrical convex part 12a is equal to or less than the wavelength of light to be used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
