<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and rapidly ensure a foothold for a workman who performs a high-place work by climbing a columnar body such as an electric pole. <P>SOLUTION: A pole-mounted workbench 100 includes: a mounting member 101 to be fixed to a columnar body 110 such as an electric pole; a tread 102 in which one end portion is supported by the mounting member 101 in a cantilever form and that is disposed rotatably in the horizontal direction about the columnar body as center; a support member 103 that is provided on the tread 102 and supports the tread 102 from the lower side by contacting one end with the columnar body 110 such as an electric pole; and a suspension member 104 that interconnects the tread 102 and the support member 103 and suspends the support member 103 from the tread 102.
