<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus for facilitating finger touch in the vicinity of the edges of a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A touch pad 16 comprises a glass substrate 16a and a film 16b, on which transparent conductive films 16d and 16e are formed respectively at their facing sides. A contact of the glass substrate 16a with the film 16b is detected when the film 16b with high flexibility is pressed. Since a greater pressing force is needed for the contact of the glass substrate 16a with the film 16b at an edge of the touch pad 16, and a contact detection area 16h for detecting the contact is large, the contact detection area 16h is corrected so as to become smaller, to the same degree as a contact detection area 16f for detecting a contact in the center of the touch pad 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
