<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress cost increase of a vehicular navigation device having a theft prevention function. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that a preset memory 114 has been initialized as well as that the direct distance is 5 km or more between an own vehicle position P1 right before an ignition switch 71 of a vehicle is turned off and an own vehicle position P2 afterwards detected by a GPS sensor 131 immediately after it is determined that the ignition switch 71 is at an accessory position, a theft prevention function operates to regard that a vehicular navigation device 100 has been stolen.
