RESIN-COATED METAL MATERIAL SUPERIOR IN ABRASION RESISTANCE AND MOLDABILITY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated metal material excellent in abrasion resistance and moldability and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: The resin-coated metal material includes, a metal substrate and a lower resin layer formed on the metal substrate and an upper resin layer formed on the lower resin layer. The lower resin layer includes a polyester resin or an epoxy resin as a first base resin and has a thickness of 2 to 20 μm. The upper resin layer has a thickness of 10 to 24 μm and contains: a second base resin comprising the polyester resin or the epoxy resin; silica particles; and scale-like metal flakes. The silica particles have a mean particle size of 5 to 20 μm and are contained in an amount of 0.5 to 5 wt.% with respect to solid content in the second base resin. The scale-like metal flakes have a mean particle size of 0.5 to 5 times that of the silica particles and a mean thickness of 0.3 to 3 μm and are contained in an amount of 0.5 to 5 wt.% with respect to solid content in the second base resin. The method for producing the resin-coated metal material is also provided.
