<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perceptual color predictor which can improve the perceptual coincidence of images reproduced between devices in different observation environments. <P>SOLUTION: A perceptual color predictor which predicts the perceptual color of an image reproduced in a device comprises: brightness ratio calculation means 12 to calculate the brightness ratio of device white and observation environmental light from a measured color value concerning a white point and observation environmental light of the device; observation environmental dependency contant calculation means 13 to calculate an observation environmental dependency constant in CIECAM02, a perceptual color prediction model, from the calculated brightness ratio; and perceptual color prediction means 14 to predict the perceptual color in the image from the calculated observation environmental dependency constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
