<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventional techniques exhibit low usability when a user retrieves a web page related to a selected program. <P>SOLUTION: A television broadcast receiver 100 comprises: a program information display control unit 10 which allows a display 300 to display program information explaining the content of a selected TV program with character strings; a character string selection unit 11 which selects character strings from displayed program information; a selected character string display control unit 12 which allows emphasized display of the selected character strings in the displayed program information; a retrieval control unit 13 which obtains a retrieval result by allowing a web page related to the selected character strings to be retrieved; and a retrieval result display control unit 14 which when the character string selection unit 11 performs a continuous selection process of continuously increasing or decreasing the character strings one by one, whenever character strings are selected by the continuous selection process, associates the character string with a retrieval result with respect to the character string and allows the same to be displayed on the display with program information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
