<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal arrival angle estimation apparatus that increases data transmission throughput of a MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output)-OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system in a high speed moving environment by effectively reducing the influence of Doppler effect; an estimation method thereof; and a communication system using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A signal arrival angle estimation apparatus 400 comprises a generation section 402 that generates a Doppler shift table including a plurality of candidate Doppler shift matrices corresponding to a plurality of candidate incident angles at a relative moving speed, a correlation calculation section 404 that calculates correlations between a reception signal and the plurality of candidate Doppler shift matrices, and a selection section 406 that selects the candidate incident angle corresponding to the one having the strongest correlation between the reception signal and the plurality of candidate Doppler shift matrices to determine a signal arrival angle based on the selected incident angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
