<p>A method and Digital Media Player (DMP) for mounting a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device are provided. The method comprises: a DMP broadcasts, in the network, a discovery message for searching for a NAS device (11); the DMP parses a configuration response message, which is transmitted by the NAS device according to the discovery message, and obtains the configuration information of the NAS device (12); the DMP mounts, according to the configuration information, the NAS device (13). With the present invention, the DMP implements the automatic mount of the NAS device by discovering and parsing the configuration information of the NAS device in the network, and under the condition that the local data storage is not supported, the DMP can play the personally recorded video content or downloaded media content stored in the NAS device according to the selection of the user, which enable the digital home user to obtain better user experience.</p> |
