<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a driving capability and increase an operation speed of a unit shift register which can be applied to a scanning-line drive circuit having a partial display function. <P>SOLUTION: A unit shift register SR<SB POS="POST">k</SB>constituting a gate-line drive circuit includes a transistor Q1 which feeds a first clock signal CLK to a first output terminal OUT, a transistor Q1S which feeds a second clock signal CLKS to a second output terminal OUTS, a transistor Q3 which charges a gate (node N1) of the transistor Q1 in accordance with the activation of a shift signal SH<SB POS="POST">k-1</SB>of a preceding stage, and a transistor Q8 which is connected between the node N1 and a gate (node N1S) of the transistor Q1S.
