<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playback apparatus and method for performing stereoscopic vision playback, and a program that reduce realistic sensations to observe consumer protection while realizing GUI processing involving scaling of video. <P>SOLUTION: An offset setting unit 21 holds an offset representing a criterion for how much the coordinates of each pixel must be moved in each of right and left directions in the case of realizing stereoscopic vision. A plane shift engine 20 horizontally moves, by the number of pixels in accordance with the offset, the coordinates of each item of pixel data constituting graphics data in a plane memory. A combining unit 16 combines, with a video frame, the graphics data in which the coordinates of each item of the pixel data have been moved. When the scale of the video frame has been changed, an amount of coordinate displacement in pixel data by the plane shift engine 20 is set to the number of pixels obtained such that a value after the decimal point of a product obtained by multiplying the offset by a changed horizontal scaling magnification is carried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
