<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that chopping a boiled egg needs to use a crusher requiring labor or to chop a boiled egg on a chopping block with a kitchen knife, and the chopped boiled egg pieces are scattered thereabout and the boiled egg yolk sticks to the chopping block in a terrible state. <P>SOLUTION: A boiled egg is put in a container larger than the shape of the boiled egg. The container has a flat bottom, and the bottom is formed with projections to mount the boiled egg thereon. The container has a peripheral side surfaces provided with a plurality of slits large enough to insert a wire material. The wire materials are arranged in a square frame. The wire materials are inserted into the slits, and fully pulled down to cut the whole of the boiled egg. The roughly chopped boiled egg pieces are moved in the container, the wire materials are inserted again into the slits of the container, and pulled down to the bottom. The operation is repeated a plurality of times to obtain finely chopped boiled egg. Alternatively, two containers are prepared, a boiled egg is roughly chopped in a first container, the first container is covered with a second container and inverted, and the first container is removed therefrom. The second container has slits and wire materials are inserted into the slits to further chop the roughly chopped boiled egg.
