<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the high strength and homogeneous mechanical properties, particularly, high ductility and creep resistance of a material at particularly high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a member of a titanium-aluminum base alloy, a starting material is subjected to a HIP (heat isostatic pressing) processing in the first step, the material is subjected to a rapid solid-blank deformation in the second step, then the formation of globular microstructure composed of phases γ, β<SB POS="POST">0</SB>, α<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is performed by annealing in the range of the eutectoid temperature (T<SB POS="POST">eu</SB>) of the alloy in the third step, and the member having dimensions close to the final dimensions is subjected to following annealing and/or stabilization annealing for stabilizing the structure and mechanical material properties in the following step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
