ORIENTED FILM, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ORIENTED FILM, AND PHASE DIFFERENCE PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an oriented film capable of variously changing an inclination angle of an orientation axis and improving laminate efficiency with a polarizing plate by simple equipment.

SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the oriented film which is obtained by stretching a thermoplastic resin film and whose optical axis is not parallel nor perpendicular to a flow direction of the film, the method for producing the oriented film includes adjusting the inclination angle of the orientation axis by shrinking the oriented film oriented in an angle direction slightly oblique to a width direction in the width direction beforehand while heating. The oriented film manufactured by this method whose inclination angle of the orientation axis to the width direction is 20 to 70 degrees is provided.
