<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound producing apparatus for a vehicle, in which a sound is produced to a surrounding area when the vehicle is driven at a low speed, and sound production is stopped or the volume in the sound production is turned down by a manual operation, and then the sound production is restored at a suitable time, thereby both noise prevention and the reminder to the surrounding area can be satisfied at high levels. <P>SOLUTION: When the vehicle is driven at the low speed equal to or lower than a threshold speed of the vehicle, for example, the sound such as a pseudo engine sound is produced from loudspeakers 1F, 1S, 1R to the surrounding area. The sound production from the loudspeakers is stopped by operating a sound-production stopping switch 16. At the time point that predetermined conditions are satisfied after the sound production from the loudspeakers is stopped, the sound production is restored. The predetermined conditions for the restoration of the sound production are set according to a first-vehicle state, including two or more combinations selected from time, a travel distance, the speed of the vehicle, acceleration, deceleration, a course change, a stop, and a departure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
