<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting unit and a liquid ejecting apparatus that can prevent a film of a damper flow passage member from wrinkling. <P>SOLUTION: In a surface of the damper flow passage member covered with the film, a communication passage 69, a first filter chamber 66 in which a first filter 52 is disposed, and an empty chamber 70 disposed between a pressure chamber and the communication passage are provided. The film is attached to a surface of each of the pressure chamber, the empty chamber, and the communication passage so as to cover a first flow passage and a second flow passage with the empty chamber therebetween.
