PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and the like capable of eliminating the risk of causing delay in a job execution time after recovery at the time of recovering from a suspend mode.

SOLUTION: When there is a need to shift to a power saving mode during execution of a job of reading image data comprising a plurality of pages from a storage source 4 to be output to an output means 12, a calculation means 210 calculates a page of image data which is more quickly output by the output means in a case where the image data is stored in a RAM 7 which is to be self-refreshed than in a case where the image data is read from a storage source after recovery from the power saving mode to be output to the output means, and the image data of the calculated page is transferred to the RAM 7 to be self-refreshed from the storage source of the image data when shifting to the power saving mode.
